This summer the Bumblebee crew spent two days at the North
Show raising funds for the GSPCA through a prize draw they ran with
prizes of free trips.
Between this wonderful initiative led by Skipper Dan Meinke and supported by First Mate Robin Janes, Mr Bumble the Bee who collected at the North Show and their sponsorship to man Mr Bumble at the Giant Animal Mascot Race at the Animal Welfare Seafront Sunday next week they have raised the GRAND sum of just over £600 to help care for and rescue animals in Guernsey.
Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said 'What a lovely sunny day to receive such a wonderful donation.' 'Every penny counts and this wonderful gift will help make a real difference to animals lives in Guernsey and we thank all of the Bumblebee Boat Cruises team for their time and generosity.'
Skipper Dan Meinke said 'It was a pleasure supporting a local charity that helps so many animals.' 'We had a great time at the North Show and met many lovely people who were both interested in coming out with us and supportive of the GSPCA.' 'We are looking forward to Mr Bumble racing next week at the Giant Animal Mascot Race and we are hoping that everyone will come along to cheer him on and support the GSPCA.'
